Status: Research direction
This entry is published as a research direction. It is not presented as peer-reviewed science or a completed product specification.
Trust is often treated as a marketing outcome. We treat it as infrastructure: something designed, tested, and maintained.
As generation costs fall, the cost of believing rises. Products that omit provenance, uncertainty, and escalation paths push that cost onto users.
This direction examines consumer-legible trust patterns, enterprise verification workflows, and the limits of automated detection.
We will not overclaim detection accuracy. Honesty about uncertainty is part of the research.
